Single Board Computer (SBC)

JKmicrosystems offers a comprehensive line of industrial, DOS-based single board computers (SBC) with embedded Ethernet options. All SBCs have a preloaded, royalty-free DOS / Linux operating systems and a flash file system that provide a fast, yet convenient environment for embedded development.

In mid-2006, the Arm9 based OmniFlash has been announced especially to address Linux users.

A watchdog timer, univeral I/O pins, RS-485 serial port capability, LCD and matrix keypad support make them an ideal x86 compatible solution for embedded designs. They also have an expansion feature that enables to add on additional I/O cards.

Data collection, communication and control are their typical application fields. DOS compatibility reduces adaptation period and enables to utilize various development environments.

C is the preferred compiler for all platforms. For DOS based products; compilers such as QuickBasic, Pascal, Forth83 can be utilized in addition C. Most of the products have a TCP/IP stack support.
