DCSERVER

DCServer is a server application enabling to control data collection terminals connected in a TCP/IP environment over TCP packets. Selected communication protocol enables to access terminals distributed over a WAN or the Internet.

The collected data is recorded within MS Access tables as a standard option. MS SQL Server or  IBM UDB are available as options. The terminals need to utilize DCDOS (for DOS) or DCWin (for Win9X) applications as client programs to communicate with the DCServer. The log recording enables to select four different levels of event tracking.

DCWin

DCWin facilitates MS Windows based data collection terminals to communicate with the DCServer It also incorporates a parametric transaction programming environment to be utilized via MS Excel.. Collected data is buffered on the terminals when DCServer is not running.

DCDOS

DCDOS facilitates DOS based data collection terminals to communicate with the DCServer via the Ethernet card’s packet driver. Collected data is buffered on the terminals when DCServer is not running.

DCHost

DCHost transfers the data collected by DCServer to IBM’s AS/400 and S/390 platforms. One of IBM 5250/3270 emulation environments such as CA/400 or Personal Communications need to installed before DCHost; since it utilizes EHLLAPI calls to communicate wit a host.

Livet

Livet is a general-purpose  data collection and terminal control application. It has been specifically developed for IBM 7526 data collection terminals and supports IBM 1283 communication protocol. Current version supports two RS-422 communication Ports.
